On the first floor of the Magasin Fabert, find the Classic Double Room, a 21 m2 space offering a picturesque view of the castle’s courtyard.

This exclusive room is named after the renowned Abraham Fabert, a significant figure of the 17th century. Indeed, in 1642, after the fall of the Principality of Sedan, Abraham Fabert was appointed First Governor of the region.. Amidst significant political events, including the Cinq Mars conspiracy against Cardinal Richelieu and King Louis XIII, ownership of the Château Fort was transferred to the King, who supported Minister Frederic-Maurice de la Tour d’Auvergne.

Back then, the historic buildings of the Magasin Fabert served as warehouses for grains and weapons.
